When it comes to astroturf pitches where football is played for hobby or sports purposes, two types of astroturf pitches come to mind, open and closed. While the ceiling and surroundings of the indoor carpet pitches are covered with materials such as iron or canvas, depending on the material used, the ceiling of the outdoor carpet pitch is known as open.
All carpet pitches must be designed to prevent the ball from going out of bounds in accordance with the rules of the game. For this reason, there is a tarpaulin or iron mat that covers open carpet pitches. Optionally, portable options such as a tribune can also be preferred.
Carpet Field Construction
First of all, the ground on which the carpet field will be built is examined and excavation and excavation works are carried out around the field accordingly. Ready-mixed concrete is poured by placing an iron apparatus on the excavation floor.
Thus, the floor process of the carpet field is completed. After the concrete is poured, optionally, three or four pieces of gravel, called coarse aggregate, are poured onto the ground and compacted well with the help of a roller.
Gravel number one is poured on the compacted ground to prevent fluctuation in the field. Gravel number one is leveled by applying a scale to the ground. In this way, a flat and smooth carpet field is obtained.
After the ground infrastructure works are completed, the geotextile felt called marl is wetted and laid on the ground. The synthetic grass carpet, which is specially prepared according to the floor, begins to be laid on the felt carpet. The laid grass carpets are adhered to each other with a special adhesive at the joints.
After the bonding process is completed, the places of the game lines are determined within the scope of football rules and white synthetic grass is applied to these parts in an aligned manner. Finally, washed, sieved and baked sand and granules called register sand are poured onto the floor and a homogeneous brushing process is performed.
After these stages, the floor of the carpet field becomes suitable for playing ball.
After the floor of the carpet field is ready, the iron and pipe assembly process is started. The goalposts at both ends of the field are first mounted vertically.
Then, while the upper and lower goal posts are joined by welding, the corners are welded crosswise.
After the goalposts are prepared, the lighting system poles that will illuminate the field are planted proportionally and evenly around the open carpet pitch.
After the iron and pipe processes, the dyeing process of these irons is done with industrial dyes according to the request of the owner.
Carpet Field Cost
The cost calculation of carpet pitches varies according to the planned projects. Many factors, from the quality of artificial turf to the materials to be used, affect the cost in the environmental factor of the football pitch.
Steel structure features of the football field, the quality of the material used in the subfloor, the lighting products decided for the lighting system, electrical installation, synthetic grass type, carpet pitch, optional locker room, cafeteria, shower, VAR room, scoreboard, tribune. Many things change the cost.
Carpet pitch dimensions are also decisive in terms of cost. Mini carpet or more professional multi-purpose carpet pitches have different length and width dimensions. For carpet pitches, 1500 square meters, 30 meters x 50 meters, which are generally shown as ideal dimensions, are preferred.
